Art Child is an active partner of the program "2001-2010 international decade for a culture of peace and non violence for the children of the world" proclaimed by the United Nations and coordinated by UNESCO. Our goal is to help diffuse the messages of peace and harmony expressed by the children of the world through their pieces of Art.

Lebanon participates officially to the Choral Music Contest (December 2006)

Art Child is delighted to inform that Lebanon is participating officially to the Art Child Choral Music contest. The competition is coordinated by the National Commission to UNESCO of the Ministry of Culture and its Secretary General Salwa Saniora Baassiri.

In these difficult times, we hope the music will contribute to create joy for the Lebanese children.

NEWS SPECIAL : ART CHILD EXHIBITION IN INDONESIA (November 2006)

Art Child organised with the Indonesian Government an Internatinal Art Child Exhibition in Yogyakarta from 11 to 17th November 2006. This very successful event was a tribute to the victims of the recent earthquarke.

Art Child warmly thanks the Indonesian government for its wonderful welcoming. Special thanks go to Dr. Bambang Sudibyo, Minister of Education, his wife, the Sultan of Yogyakarta, M Fasli Jalal (director general at the Ministry of Education), Dr Arief Rachman, Executive Chairman of the National Commission to UNESCO, H.E. Aman Wirakartakusumah, ambassador to UNESCO and M Dindin, deputy permanent delegate to UNESCO, M Bambang Wasito Adi (spokesman of the Ministry of Education), Dr Sardi and his team (Head of PPPG Kesenian), etc.

We also want to thank the Indonesian people, the thousands of school children that visited or participated in art contests and activities, the hundreds of teachers, educators, parents, etc.

Indonesia is strongly committed to the promotion of children's art and we thank Indonesia for its wonderful contribution.

Art Child meets with Zambia(July 2006)

Art Child had a very pleasant meeting with our friend H.E. Ian C. B. Sikazwe, ambassador of the Republic of Zambia in France and head of the UNESCO representation.

Zambia participates officially in our activities with a strong participation in the Choral Music contest.

We warmly thank the ambassador (see photo on the left) and the Republic of Zambia for its kind support.

     
 

Art Child receives the new official fresco of Canada (16/06/2006)

H.E. M. Yvon Charbonneau has given officially to Art Child the new Canadian fresco representing Canada in the International Art Child fresco contest. The fresco is a colourful and modern work of art done by children from a school cherishing cultural diversity.

Big success announced for Art Child's Choral Music Contest (01/05/2006)

The following countries have already announced their official participation :

India, Russia, Monaco, Croatia, Fidji, Spain, Timor-Leste, Sweden, Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, Finland, Romania, Austria, Saoudi Arabia, Brasil, Mexico...

India announces its official participation to Art Child's Choral Music Contest (27/04/2006)

Art Child received an official letter from the Republic of India announcing the official participation of India to Art Child's Choral Music Contest. Millions of Indian children will sing for the contest!

Art Child is very honored by this decision and thanks deeply the Republic of India for its renewed confidence in Art Child.

Art Child meets with Brazil (20/04/2006)

Art Child met with the UNESCO delegation of Brazil to propose the International Exhibition. The Music Contest has already started in Brazil!

     
 

News Special : Art Child at the World Kite Championships (08/04/2006 to 18/04/2006)

Art Child organized a special event with children's art (choral music, painting, circus) for the opening of the World Kite Championships in the city of Berck-sur-Mer in the North of France in the presence of the Senator-President of the Region, of deputies, of the President of the Conseil Général, of the Mayor of Berck and of course of ambassadors : H.E. the ambassador of South Africa to France and H.E. the ambassador of Canada to UNESCO. The event was a major success and was enjoyed by the thousands of visitors. Art Child is present during the whole event with special animations for children : around 500.000 visitors are concerned during 10 days! To see more, click here.

 
     
 

News Special : Art Child meets with the First Lady of Costa Rica who becomes one of Art Child's Godmothers (24/03/2006)

Art Child met in Paris with the First Lady of Costa Rica, Lady Leila Rodríguez de Pacheco, in order to set up an exhibition in Costa Rica. The Choral Music Contest was also evoked : all the schools in Costa Rica will be associated to the project. The First Lady becomes one of Art Child's godmothers, a great honour for Art Child. Lady Rodríguez de Pacheco was accompanied by her personal advisor, the Head of Protocol of the Presidency of the Republic, the ambassador of Costa Rica to UNESCO as well as the Minister-Councellor of the UNESCO delegation. We thank warmly the First Lady for her attention, her support and her kindness.

 
     
 

Art Child launches Handi Art Contest (20/03/2006)

Art Child launched officially in the North of France with more than 600 children from handi centers its worldwide contest for handicaped children. Three centers of the North of France had tested the program with great success so Art Child decided to launch the program in the world during a very moving and animated ceremony in the presence of children, parents, social workers and mayors of the cities involved in the test. We thank personnaly and very specially our correspondant in the North of France, our dearest Martine! Art Child met with the UNESCO delegations of Finland and Ukraine to present the Choral Music Contest and propose the International Exhibition. Announcements should be made soon!

Art Child met with the First Secretary, M Sergey Anoshko (see picture), of the Belarus embassy in order to evoke our programs. The Belarus was the first country in the world to provide us with its official frescoe.

Art Child met with the UNESCO delegations of Croatia and Venezuela to present the Choral Music Contest and propose the International Exhibition. Things should be going well!

Art Child meets with Costa Rica (24/02/2006)

Art Child met with Costa Rica for the Art Child Music Contest and to bring the exhibition to Costa Rica. Moreover, Art Child has received the support of Costa Rica's First Ladies since the beginning of our activities.

Art Child meets with Syria, Lebanon and Iraq(22/02/2006)

Art Child met with Syria, Lebanon and Irak. The ambassador of Syria to UNESCO, H. E. Mr Ghassan Nseir, showed us his great interest and support for our activities.

Art Child's long-term support and friend, the ambassador of Lebanon to UNESCO, H. E. Mrs Samira Hanna-El-Daher, renewed us her affection and the positive implication of her country. Lebanon will one day welcome Art Child's exhibitions.

The ambassador of Iraq to UNESCO, H. E. Mr Muhyi K. Alkateeb (see picture), will do his best to try and have an official Iraqi song selected for the Music Contest.

Pianist Miguel Angel Estrella joins Art Child's Choral Music Contest prestige committee (15/02/2006)

Art Child is very proud to announce that Miguel Angel Estrella has accepted to be one of the godfathers of Art Child's Music Contest.

Miguel Angel Estrella, one of Argentina's most prestigious classical pianists, has led a life long campaign for the popularization of music among the poorest groups in society. His cooperation with UNESCO dates back to the late 1980s when he was designated Goodwill Ambassador. He is the founder of "Musique Espérance," a foundation which aims to improve access to music for all people, and is designed to defend human dignity and to uplift communities.

Miguel Angel Estrella's relentless engagement has benefited Chernobyl victims by raising funds for UNESCO's Chernobyl recovery programme. The "Orchestra for Peace", composed of young Arab and Israeli musicians, created by Mr Estrella, has given concerts in France and Luxembourg, to promote UNESCO's ideals and objectives. Art Child meets with China (09/02/2006)

Art Child met with the People's Republic of China's delegation to UNESCO. The Choral Music Contest is going to be launched in China and an exhibition is being discussed. Art Child meets with Libya, Italy and Senegal (08/02/2006)

Art Child met with the Libyan, Italian and Senegalese delegations to UNESCO . All countries were very enthousiastic. On the left, a picture taken with H.E. Mukhtar ELOSTA , Ambasssador, Permanent Delegate of the Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya to UNESCO and the Deputy Delegate Dr Sherif MADI. Libya is a new participant in Art Child's programs. Partnership - Kite World Championship (04/02/2006)

Art Child will be partner of the 20th Anniversary of the International Kite Championship in Berck-sur-Mer (North of France) in April 2006. This event gathers more than 500,000 people in ten days. Art Child will have two tents, special kites on the beach and several activities will be proposed to the participating children. A special children's day is also planned with more than 3,000 children. Art Child will also expose its fantastic HandiArt and present the next step in that field.

Art Child meets with Argentina (02/02/2006)

Art Child met with the Argentinian Delegation to UNESCO represented by M José Fernandes Valonie, Secretary of the Delegation in charge of Cultural Affairs. The possibility of exposing in Argentina was evoked. Moreover, the ambassador H.E. Miguel Angel Estrella, master pianist and UNESCO goodwill ambassador, would be a fantastic support for the Art Child International Choral Mucic Contest.

     
 

Art Child meets with South Africa (31/01/2006)

Art Child met with the South African embassy represented by Ms Pule Bosilong, First Secretary of the Embassy in charge of Multilateral Affairs. It would be Art Child's pleasure to exhibit in the Rainbow Nation! The Choral Music Contest was also evoked and its launch in South Africa that participated strongly to the frescoe contest.

     
 

Art Child meets with Morocco and Indonesia (30/01/2006)

Art Child met with the Moroccan delegation to UNESCO and with the Indonesian delegation to UNESCO in order to talk about our activities in these countries and the international exhibition. Art Child meets with US Mission to UNESCO (16/01/2006)

Art Child met with the US Mission to UNESCO in order to talk about Art Child's activities in the USA. Following this very positive meeting, Art Child is now in relationship with the US National Commission for UNESCO and its deputy secretary general, Alexander Zemek. This commission was re-appointed two years ago when the US re-joined UNESCO.

     
 

Art Child meets with Bangladesh embassy (05/01/2006)

Art Child met with the Bangladesh embassy in order to promote the Bangladesh Shishu Academy's 4th Children's Art contest. Art Child has accepted to relay the contest among children.

News Special - Art Child launch International Choir Music Contest (January 2006)
Following the success and enthusiasm generated by the first International Art Child Contest, in which tens of thousands of children in over 150 countries competed to create giant frescos, Art Child has decided to launch a Second International Art Child Contest focusing on another art form : Choir Music.
